My favourite team
Now, I'm going to present my favourite rugby team : France !
The FFR (the name of the france's rugby team) was finalist two times, in 1987 and 1999. I think you know Chabal, my favourite player. He is imposant and so impresive !
This is a great video where the france rugby team show her determination against the all blacks :

A very interesting interview
This is an interview of a new zealander who explain his impatience for the RWC 2011.
Interviewer : Hi, so are you ready for the rugby world cup ?
New Zealander : Of course I am ! I wait it since the end of the last rwc, but, this year it will be different because it takes place in New Zealand ! Here, in my country ! It's a child's dream !
I : Oh, great, and, what about your favourite team ?
NZ : The all blacks of course ! They are strong, impresive and this will played on their ground ! I think they will win the cup !
I : You're very enthousiast, it's so amazing to meet supporter like you, thanks.
The Maori's culture
This year the rugby world cup will be played in New Zealand where is the Maori's culture.
The Haka, who everybody know, is a good depart to learn more about the Maori's culture. Indeed it's a very impresive and spectacular war dance.
This is the lyrics with the traduction in front of :
Maori : English :
Ringa pakia Slap the hands against the thighs
Uma tiraha Puff out the chest
Turi whatia Bend the knees
Hope whai ake Let the hips follow
Waewae takahia kia kino Stamp the feet as hard as you can
Ka Mate ! Ka Mate ! It is death ! It is death !
Ka Ora ! Ka Ora ! It is life ! It is life !
Tenei te ta ngata puhuru huru This is the hairy person
Nana nei i tiki mai Who caused the sun to shine
Whakawhiti te ra Keep abreast ! Keep abreast !
A upane ka upane ! The rank ! Hold fast !
A upane kaupane whiti te ra ! Into the sun that shines !
Hi !! Haaa !
Now, let's talk about the Maori's origins :
So, the maori's legend says that the Maoris came from "Hawaiki", a legendary homeland, about 1000 year ago ! Realy amazing ! Isn't it ?
When they arrived in New Zealand they found a land quite different than what they knew. Aoteraora is the Maori's name of New Zealand, it's strange, no ?
There are many theories about the origins of the Maoris. Someone think "Hawaiki", the island the maoris left to go to New Zealand, could have been near Haiwaii. Other people think that the maoris could be originated from china and travelled during a very long time to arrived finaly to Aoteraora.
Personaly I have no opinion about this thread... But, what about you ?
